Taxonomy
Nippononaia (Eonippononaia) diana was named by Guo (1981). It is not extant. Its type specimen is Geological Museum of China, 761466/28. Its type locality is Mengyuan, Mengla, which is in a Cretaceous fluvial-lacustrine horizon in the Jingxing Formation of China. It is the type species of Nippononaia (Eonippononaia).
