Taxonomy
Plicatounio (Rongxiania) rongxianensis was named by Liu (1984). It is not extant. Its type locality is Zhengzi, Rongxian, which is in a Cretaceous fluvial-lacustrine horizon in the Jiangguan Formation of China. It is the type species of Plicatounio (Rongxiania).
