Taxonomy
Brahimorthis alvaroi was named by Mergl and Zamora (2012). Its type specimen is MPZ2009/545, 554, 556, a valve (dorsal valve), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Purujosa Section 3. Level 10. Moncayo Natural Park, which is in a Menevian offshore mudstone in the Murero Formation of Spain.
