Taxonomy
Syrnola unicostata was named by Palmer (1923). Its type specimen is UCMP 30607, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCMP 3573 - NW of Vacaville, which is in a Ypresian offshore shale in California.
