Corbisema hastata miranda was named by Barron et al. (1984) [Holotype: Plate 1, figure 10 of Bukry 1975]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Camino Diablo Road, which is in a Lutetian/Bartonian marine shale in the Kellogg Formation of California.
