Taxonomy
Anguis robustus was named by Klembara (1979). Its type specimen is DP FNSP 1018, a partial skull (parietal), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Dolnice, which is in a MN 4 fluvial-lacustrine siltstone/marl in Czechia.
It was recombined as Ophisaurus robustus by Klembara and Rummel (2018).
