Taxonomy
Ragesaurus medasensis was named by Bailon and Auge (2012). Its type specimen is USTL MED-121, a mandible (nearly complete right dentary), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Medas Islands, which is in a Pleistocene fissure fill horizon in Spain. It is the type species of Ragesaurus.
