Taxonomy
Pentamerocrinus praematurus was named by Jaekel (1918). It is not extant. Its type specimen is SGWC10114. Its type locality is Vaginatum specimen, which is in an Ordovician carbonate limestone in the Vaginatum Formation of the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Pentamerocrinus.
