Pecten stoliczkai was named by Gemmellaro (1874).

It was recombined as Pecten (Amusium) stoliczkai by Gemmellaro (1878); it was recombined as Pecten (Pseudamusium) stoliczkai by Gemmellaro (1920); it was recombined as Entolium stoliczkai by Lentini (1973); it was recombined as Praechlamys stoliczkai by Monari (1994).
