Taxonomy
Palaeocyclus haimei was named by Reed (1915) [Palaeocyclus? haimei Reed, 1915, p. 71, pl. 10 figs 7–10, non 11.]. It is the type species of Xenocrania.

It was recombined as Xenocrania haimei by Chen and Rong (2019).
