Annatherapsidus was named by Kuhn (1963). It is not extant.

It was assigned to Therapsida by Kuhn (1964); to Moschorhinidae by Carroll (1988); to Annatherapsidinae by Battail and Surkov (2000); and to Annatherapsididae by Tatarinov (2008), Ivakhnenko (2011).
