Taxonomy
Agassizia (Anisaster) wilmingtonica was named by Cooke (1942). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Wilmington City quarry, which is in a Bartonian deep subtidal ramp limestone in the Castle Hayne Formation of North Carolina.
