Taxonomy
Halobia fascigera was named by Bittner (1899). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bambanag, Daonella Beds, which is in a Carnian carbonate limestone in India.

It was synonymized subjectively with Halobia comata by Krumbeck (1924).
