Taxonomy
Glyptocidaris (Eoglyptocidaris) arctina was named by Nisiyama (1966). Its type specimen is IGPS 73752 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sukenebetsu, which is in an Oligocene marine horizon in the Poronai Formation of Japan.
