Taxonomy
Trochoturbella liassica was named by Melville (1956). It is not extant. Its type locality is Stowell Park borehole (T. ibex Zone, B. centaurus Subzone, 985-1188ft), which is in a Pliensbachian marine mudstone/shale in the Lower Lias Formation of the United Kingdom.
