Taxonomy
Semuridia obliqua was named by Melville (1956). It is not extant. Its type specimen is GSM Bj 4433. Its type locality is Stowell Park borehole (A. obtusum Zone, A. obtusum Subzone, 1512-1548ft), which is in a Sinemurian carbonate shale in the Lower Lias Formation of the United Kingdom.
