Euroatrypa suspecta was named by Nikiforova et al. (1982) [Popov in Nikforova et al. 1982
= 1956 Cliftonia ex gr. spiriferoides (McCoy); Rukavishnikova, p. 51, pl. 4, figs 14–15; non M’Coy, 1851,
p. 402.]. Its type specimen is CNIGR 25/11943 (complete shell) and is a 3D body fossil.
It was recombined as Qilianotryma suspecta by Popov et al. (1999); it was recombined as Qilianotryma suspectum by Popov and Cocks (2006).
