Taxonomy
Daphnella aspera gracilior was named by Tryon (1884). It is extant.

It was recombined as Mangelia (Mitromorpha) gracilior by Grant and IV and Gale (1931); it was recombined as Mitromorpha gracilior by Kanakoff and Emerson (1959); it was recombined as Cymakra gracilior by Hall (2002), Hendy (2021).
