Coscinaulus was named by Schrammen (1937) [Sepkoski's age data: J Kimm-l Sepkoski's reference number: 1066]. It is not extant. Its type is Coscinaulus micropora.
It was assigned to Lychniscosa by Sepkoski (2002); and to Callodictyoninae by Finks et al. (2004).
