Taxonomy
Bathymodiolus satsopensis was named by Kiel and Amano (2013). Its type specimen is UWBM 98909, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Little River seep site, which is in a Chattian basinal (carbonate) limestone in the Lincoln Creek Formation of Washington.
