Mexfusus rotundicostatus

Taxonomy
Mexfusus rotundicostatus was named by Vermeij et al. (2004). Its type specimen is IGM 8155, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is IGM 2940, N. of Temalac, which is in a Maastrichtian marine marl/sandstone in the Mexcala Formation of Mexico. It is the type species of Mexfusus.
