Alticonodon
Taxonomy
Alticonodon was named by Fox (1969). It is not extant. Its type is Alticonodon lindoei. It is the type genus of Alticonodontinae.
It was assigned to Triconodontidae by Fox (1969), Jenkins and Crompton (1979), Rasmussen and Callison (1981), Carroll (1988), Cifelli et al. (1998) and Gao et al. (2010); and to Alticonodontinae by Kielan-Jaworowska et al. (2004) and Gaetano and Rougier (2011).
It was assigned to Triconodontidae by Fox (1969), Jenkins and Crompton (1979), Rasmussen and Callison (1981), Carroll (1988), Cifelli et al. (1998) and Gao et al. (2010); and to Alticonodontinae by Kielan-Jaworowska et al. (2004) and Gaetano and Rougier (2011).
