Taxonomy
Arginbaataridae was named by Hahn and Hahn (1983). It is not extant. Its type is Arginbaatar. It was considered monophyletic by Kielan-Jaworowska and Hurum (2001).
It was assigned to Plagiaulacoidea by Kielan-Jaworowska et al. (1987), McKenna and Bell (1997); to Plagiaulacida by Kielan-Jaworowska et al. (2004); and to Multituberculata by Kielan-Jaworowska and Hurum (2001), Weaver et al. (2020).
