Taxonomy
Chaohusaurus brevifemoralis was named by Huang et al. (2019). It is not extant. Its type specimen is AGM AGB7401, a skeleton. Its type locality is Majiashan Quarry, which is in an Olenekian marine limestone in the Nanlinghu Formation of China.
