Taxonomy
Trigonia tryoniana was named by Gabb (1864). It is not extant. Its type specimen is UCMP 11955. Its type locality is "Chico beds" - Tuscan Springs, Tehama, which is in a Coniacian coastal siliciclastic in California.
It was recombined as Yaadia tryoniana by Cox (1952), Saul (1978).
