Taxonomy
Barbosaia angulata was named by Mendes (1952). It is not extant. Its type locality is Santa Terezinha, Piracicaba, which is in a Capitanian/Wuchiapingian lacustrine siltstone in the Corumbataí Formation of Brazil.
