Taxonomy
Falloaster anquiroisitus was named by Blake et al. (2019) [IMNH = Idaho Museum of Natural History, Pocatello, Idaho]. Its type specimen is IMNH IP-276/849 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bear River Range, which is in a Blackhillsian marine mudstone/packstone in the Garden City Formation of Idaho.
