Taxonomy
Pecten schafhaeutli was named by Winkler (1859). It is not extant. Its type locality is Kothalpe, which is in a Triassic marine horizon in the Keuper Formation of Germany. It is the type species of Filamussium.
It was recombined as Filamussium schafhaeutli by Waller (2006).
