Taxonomy
Coledium torvum was named by Grant (1965). Its type specimen is YPM 23258 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Keough Quarry (Station 296), which is in a Morrowan marine limestone in the Morrow Formation of Oklahoma.
