Taxonomy
Coledium angarium was named by Grant (1965). Its type specimen is USNM 142085 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Barton Ranch, 10mi SW of Mason, which is in a Serpukhovian carbonate sandstone in the Barnett Formation of Texas.
