Taxonomy
Turris clallamensis was named by Weaver (1916). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UW 258, which is in a Miocene marine horizon in Washington.
It was recombined as Leucosyrinx clallamensis by Tegland (1933); it was recombined as Aforia clallamensis by Durham (1944), Moore (1963).
