Taxonomy
Modiola multiradiata was named by Gabb (1866). It is extant.

It was recombined as Modiolus multiradiatus by Wagner and Schilling (1923); it was recombined as Mytilus multiradiatus by Stewart (1930); it was recombined as Brachidontes (Scolimytilus) multiradiatus by Moore (1983).
