Simplicisulcus arthurtonensis

Taxonomy
Neospirifer arthurtonensis was named by Waterhouse (1968). Its type specimen is NZGS BR 521, a valve (Ventral valve internal mold), and it is a mold. Its type locality is GS5079, Arthurton (G45/f8613), which is in a Wuchiapingian marine horizon in the AG4 Formation of New Zealand.

It was recombined as Trigonotreta arthurtonensis by Hyden et al. (1982); it was recombined as Simplicisulcus arthurtonensis by Waterhouse (2002), Waterhouse (2004).
