Aequalicosta inflata
Taxonomy
Eliva inflata was named by Cooper and Grant (1976). Its type specimen is USNM 152887j, a shell (Articulated shell), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is USGS 2926 green, Capitan Peak, Guadalupe Mountains, which is in a Capitanian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Capitan Formation of Texas. It is the type species of Aequalicosta.
It was recombined as Aequalicosta inflata by Waterhouse (2004).
