Arcullina oblata
Taxonomy
Spiriferella oblata was named by Waterhouse (1978). Its type specimen is UQF 68960, a shell (Articulated shell), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is W1290, Section 12, Mugu-Popa Trail, Karnali, which is in a Changhsingian marine sandstone in the Senja Formation of Nepal.
It was synonymized subjectively with Spiriferella qubuensis by Shen et al. (2001); it was synonymized subjectively with Spiriferella nepalensis by Shen et al. (2003); it was recombined as Arcullina oblata by Waterhouse (2004).
