Zamponiopteron triangularis
Taxonomy
Zamponiopteron triangularis was named by Janvier and Riglos (1986) [A species of Zamponiopteron characterized by the triangular shape of the pterygial plates. These plates are convex on one side and flat on the other.]. Its type specimen is MNHNP BOD2, a partial skeleton (a complete pterygial plate with the bone preserved and the radial canals only partly filled with sediment), and it is a 3D body fossil. It is the type species of Zamponiopteron.
