Taxonomy
Propeamussium (Parvamussium) robinsonense was named by Sundberg (1989). Its type specimen is LACMIP 7222, a valve, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCLA loc. 7074, Plano Trabuco, Santa Ana Mountains, which is in a Santonian marine horizon in the Ladd Formation of California.
