Taxonomy
Maledictosuchus nuyivijanan was named by Barrientos-Lara et al. (2018) [This species differs from the type species of the genus in the following unique combination of characters: anterior end of the frontal bone comparatively wider, longer, and laterally expanded, forming a rounded stout anterior process that extends anteriorly, reaching the anterior borders of the prefrontal bones; and teeth bicarinated and ornamented with apicobasal discontinuous ridges on the basal two-thirds of the labial surfaces of the crowns.]. Its type specimen is IGM 4863, a partial skull (rostral fragment), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Llano Yosobe, which is in a Kimmeridgian marine shale in the Sabinal Formation of Mexico.
