Taxonomy
Janira bella was named by Conrad (1856). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Pecten (Pecten) bellus by Arnold (1903), Arnold (1906), Jordan and Hertlein (1926), Moore (1984); it was recombined as Pecten (Janira) bellus by Grant and IV and Gale (1931); it was recombined as Pecten bellus by Dibblee (1966); it was recombined as Euvola bella by Hendy (2021).
