Taxonomy
Marginella jewettii was named by Carpenter (1857). It is extant.

It was recombined as Hyalina (Cystiscus) jewettii by Grant and IV and Gale (1931); it was recombined as Cystiscus jewetti by Valentine (1957); it was recombined as Plesiocystiscus jewetti by Hendy (2021).
