Taxonomy
Strigatella (Atrimitra) catalinae was named by Dall (1919). It is extant. Its type specimen is USNM 219648, a shell.

It was recombined as Strigatella catalinae by Jordan (1926); it was recombined as Mitra catalinae by Grant, IV and Gale (1931) and Valentine (1957); it was recombined as Mitra (Atrimitra) catalinae by Hendy (2021).
