Lanceirosphenodon ferigoloi
Taxonomy
Lanceirosphenodon ferigoloi was named by de Vivar et al. (2020). Its type specimen is CAPPA/UFSM 0226, a mandible (left dentary missing the posterior part, with an almost complete dentition), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Faxinal do Soturno, Linha São Luiz, which is in a Norian fluvial siltstone/sandstone in the Caturrita Formation of Brazil. It is the type species of Lanceirosphenodon.
