Taxonomy
Antarctissa was named by Petrushevskaya (1967) [Sepkoski's age data: T Mi-l R]. It is extant. Its type is Lithobotrys denticulata.

It was assigned to Lophophaenidae by De Wever et al. (2001); to Nassellaria by Sepkoski (2002); and to Plagoniidae by Sharma and Takahashi (2007).
