Austrochlamys heardensis
Taxonomy
Chlamys (Zygochlamys) heardensis was named by Fleming (1957). Its type specimen is AUGD F15297, a valve, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is West Bay, Laurens Peninsula, which is in a Miocene marine conglomerate in the Drygalski Formation of Heard Island and McDonald Islands.
It was recombined as Austrochlamys heardensis by Quilty et al. (2004).
