Vatusila eniwetokensis
Taxonomy
Ptychodon eniwetokensis was named by Ladd (1958). Its type specimen is USNM 562091, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Hole K-1B, 820-831 ft depth, Engibi, Eniwetok Atoll, which is in a Miocene terrestrial limestone in the Marshall Islands.
It was recombined as Vatusila eniwetokensis by Solem (1982).
