Uba fallai was named by Fletcher (1938). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is West of Cat's Ears, which is in a Miocene/Miocene coastal sandstone in French Southern Territories.
It was recombined as Polinices fallai by Lauriat-Rage et al. (2002).
