Taxonomy
Oligolophotes fragosus was named by Bannikov (1999). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Pshekha River, Gorny Luch, which is in a Rupelian marine horizon in the Pshekha Horizon Formation of the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Oligolophotes.
