Heishanosaurus pygmaeus
Taxonomy
Heishanosaurus pygmaeus was named by Dong et al. (2020). Its type specimen is IVPP V25324, a partial skull (partial skull with some disarticulated cranial and postcranial elements), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Hongshi pit, Badaohao coal mine, which is in an Aptian/Albian fluvial-lacustrine /coal in the Shahai Formation of China. It is the type species of Heishanosaurus.
