Durhamicystis americana
Taxonomy
Durhamicystis americana was named by Zamora et al. (2020). Its type specimen is USNM 642510 (complete specimen) and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Schemeompf’s old Quarry, top of a hill, west of Conococheague Creek, which is in a Turinian carbonate limestone in the Chambersburg Formation of Maryland. It is the type species of Durhamicystis.

Anal pyramid lateral aligned with the BC ray, hydropore between O1–O7, and gonopore within O1. |
