Taxonomy
Galeodea rex was named by Tegland (1931). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCMP loc. 681, Restoratino Point, Bainbridge Island, which is in a Chattian marine horizon in the Blakeley Formation of Washington.
It was recombined as Echinophoria rex by Durham (1942), Durham (1944); it was recombined as Liracassis rex by Moore (1963), Hendy (2020).
